Dave is a communication specialist, whether it be between individuals or as part of a corporate message. His focus is on clarity and integrity of message and will challenge any approach which does not put this element at the heart of the process.
Broadcasting
His career started in 1988 as a journalist and broadcaster with the BBC and he spent many years behind the microphone. He worked extensively for other broadcasters including Sky Eurosport, Discovery and United Artists alongside independent production companies presenting in and out of vision and conferences. He is a member of Equity and still regularly acts, presents and works as a voice artist.
1994-
Following conference work with Vauxhall in the UK, Dave was selected for a specialist team to train with the GM Saturn Corporation in the USA on experiential learning and facilitation. He then worked for the next three years on a culture change programme for Vauxhall in the UK & Europe. The programme became known as the 'Vauxhall Difference', ran from 1994-
1997 -
The exposure to GM international led to his appointment as lead trainer for the new Academy for Excellence in the Middle East. Dave was three years a resident of Dubai working across the Gulf region to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service and business management. This
work broadened from the motor industry. Other Gulf clients include Emirates Airlines, Hilton Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, Coke, American Express, Mercedes, and Mars.
Conference Chair/Facilitator
Since 2000 Dave has been a regular host of conferences and debates. He brings continuity to an event, introducing speakers, conducting interviews and chairing discussion. He quickly absorbs content and can bring insight and journalistic rigour to generate and focus discussion. His client base is diverse ranging from the sustainability to electrical, business to finance. Clients include NICEIC, WRAP, Federation of Small Business, Coaltrans and Plantronics. Dave also enjoys running Open Space sessions which can take groups and organisations to a new level. Facilitation of such events is a blend of energy, challenge and in depth knowledge of the business situation. High energy, motivational and participative. Clients include Cisco Systems, American Express and Plantronics.

Business Coaching & Performance Development
In 1998 Dave trained with Mars in the Middle East to run their internal executive development programme. He now operates in the arena of performance coaching both with individuals and organisations. He is a coach with 21st Century Legacy, a charity taking coaching skills into schools and he recently pioneered the programme inside Feltham Youth Offender’s Centre. He has coached inside Lambeth, Richmond and Southwark Councils, BT, BAE Systems & LV. In 2015 he worked on a large culture change programme for Brighton & Sussex University Hospital.
Presentation Skill and Performance Coaching
Dave specialises in coaching individuals in performance and presentation techniques. He concentrates on freeing the qualities of the individual so they can communicate most effectively. Dave has worked with senior management and at board level for Jaguar Land Rover, Abbot Pharmaceuticals, LV, HP and BT.
Video & Audio Production
Dave is experienced in video production and occasionally still works as a professional editor for a few regular clients. He most recently collaborated with an artist friend to produce documentaries on RA artists which have been well received and sell in the Royal Academy shop.
